2024 NYSSH VIRTUAL HAND SURGERY REVIEW COURSE

We encourage orthopaedic residents to attend to prepare for the OITE exam.


Goals and Objectives:

This program is designed to give an overview of the main principles of diagnosis and treatment of common conditions affecting the hand and upper extremity. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to: Elicit a thorough history and perform a comprehensive physical examination; Interpret important diagnostic studies, including radiographic studies, electrodiagnostic and laboratory data to make a diagnosis; Be familiar with current and accepted treatments for the following conditions: flexor and extensor tendon injuries, nerve injuries, compressive neuropathies, vascular and pain disorders, and traumatic ligamentous and osseous lesions.
