| | Annual Holiday Staff Breakfast Celebration | | Earlier this month, we held our annual staff breakfast at the Bristol Event Center. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our year, each other, and acknowledge colleagues with milestone years of service. Of special note were five recipients of Wheeler’s Anna Tedesco Award, an annual recognition for employees who exemplify our mission, values, and commitment to excellence. This year’s recipients were: Megan Whitman, director of Nursing, Family Health & Wellness Medical – Waterbury; Elizabeth Lawton, primary care nurse practitioner, Family Health & Wellness Medical – Bristol; Danielle Demm, program manager, Wheeler Employee Assistance Program (EAP); Cass DeFelice, quality manager, Quality Operations; and Heather Arduini, senior director of Behavioral Health, Family Health & Wellness Behavioral Health – New Britain. | | Supporting Patients Through Our Basic Needs Fund | | |

| | Our Friends Helping Make the Season Bright | | |
This year, the number of toy requests from our patients quadrupled. In addition to our staff fulfilling and shopping for wish lists, our community partners stepped up in a big way to help meet the need. Our Mott Health Ambassadors fulfilled 150 holiday gift requests for children in our Foster Care programs, and we picked up four pallets of Amazon toys for children in our care. For the third year in a row, our friends at Americold in Plainville helped spread holiday cheer by taking on numerous gift requests, and we were thrilled to welcome ASSA ABLOY as a new partner in donating toys this year.
Thanks to this incredible support, more children than ever will experience a joyful holiday. Thank you!

Corporate Kindness in Action: Mott and IDEX Support Thousands of Patients | | What a fantastic, meaningful time we had hosting senior executives from our amazing partners at Mott Corporation and IDEX Corporation. In addition to supporting our Basic Needs Fund with an $8,000 donation, they stuffed about 1,000 bags of personal care items for our patients in need, organized toy donations for the holiday season, and wrote hundreds of holiday cards for our patients. We are so profoundly grateful for their support and philanthropy, the "love of humanity." | | Applications Open For Third Class of Residents at Wheeler | | |
Applications are open for the Fall 2026 class. Our primary care and psychiatry residency programs for nurse practitioners and physician assistants provide hands-on, mission-focused experience in a leading Federally Qualified Health Center with focus on community-based care provision.

The long-running program offers students hands-on, real-world experience in integrated health care, reinforcing Wheeler’s mission to provide compassionate, whole-person care that addresses both physical and behavioral health needs. Interns are paired with dedicated staff mentors, gaining exposure to a wide variety of populations and services, while building the skills and confidence to step into future professional roles. This month, we’re proud to spotlight three of our behavioral health interns: Andrea Aka, Sar Kass, and Nicholas Johnson.
