Every child deserves a voice, and CASA invites the community to unite on April 10th at the annual Hands Around the Courthouse (HATCH) event. Taking place at the Kane County Courthouse in Geneva at 12 p.m., this gathering acts as a powerful reminder of the need to protect vulnerable children and raise awareness about the effects of child abuse.

To remind our community that everyone can do his or her part to prevent child abuse, CASA is seeking to blanket Kane County with Child Abuse Prevention Month signs for April. Signs are available at the CASA office; contact RoseD@casakanecounty.org to arrange for pick up.

5 Ways You Can Help Raise Awareness!

  1. Attend HATCH or an upcoming General Information Meeting
  2. Place a Yard Sign at your home, take a picture, post on your socials and tag CASA Kane County
  3. Wear Blue on Friday, April 4th, 2025, to show your support of Child Abuse Prevention Month
  4. Post HATCH flyer at your church, neighborhood retailer, or other community board
  5. Like, comment, and share CASA's social media posts throughout the month of April

The Exchange Club of the Tri-Cities has been a partner in preventing child abuse with CASA Kane County for more than 30 years. At a recent meeting, they presented a check to CASA/GAL volunteer, Dave Carrell, and CASA Director of Development, Vicki Shaw, in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. Thank you to the Exchange Club of the Tri Cities for our longtime partnership! 💙

On Tuesday, March 26, we were thrilled to welcome 18 new CASA/GAL volunteers to our team! These dedicated individuals were sworn in to advocate for the voices of children in foster care. Your commitment to making a difference in the lives of these children does not go unnoticed! ❤️
