Math Fun at our Academic Summer Camp

That's a wrap on our Academic Summer Camp!

Thank you for making our 2026 Academic Summer Camp such an incredible success! Over the past seven weeks, our students explored reading, math, history, science, technology, and so much more through hands-on activities, exciting field trips, creative projects, and unforgettable experiences.

From building dams and earthquake-resistant structures to creating doodling robots, cheering at a Dodgers game, bouncing at Sky Zone, racing at MB2 Entertainment, and launching their very own Pinwheel Project 'Hopefully Sweet', our students spent the summer learning, growing, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

We are incredibly grateful to every student who joined us, the families who trusted us, our dedicated staff and volunteers, and the generous community partners and supporters who made this summer possible. A special thank you to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the Louis & Gladyce Foster Family Foundation for their continued support of our Academic Summer Camp. Your investment in our youth helps create meaningful learning experiences and opportunities that inspire confidence, curiosity, and lifelong success.

Thank you for supporting our Pinwheel Project "Hopefully Sweet"!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Hopefully Sweet, this year's Pinwheel Project! Your encouragement and support helped make this student-run fundraiser a wonderful success.

The Pinwheel Project is more than just a fundraiser, it's a hands-on learning experience that teaches our youth valuable life and career skills. From brainstorming the business idea and choosing the name to preparing the treats, serving customers, and managing the event, our students took the lead every step of the way. Through this experience, they developed confidence, teamwork, leadership, customer service, and entrepreneurship skills that will benefit them for years to come.

Every purchase and every word of encouragement showed our students that their hard work mattered. Thank you for investing in their future and helping Hands4Hope LA continue creating meaningful opportunities for the youth we serve.

We are so grateful for your support and can't wait to share what's next!

Farewell, Not Goodbye to our wonderful teen guitar teacher!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Jonathan Floyd for everything you've given to Hands4Hope LA. Your passion for music has inspired so many of our teens, from teaching them guitar and sharing your own original compositions to encouraging them to discover their creativity and confidence through music.

A special thank you for gifting Ben a guitar, a generous act that will continue to make an impact long after today. Your willingness to step in wherever you were needed, whether running sound at Hopewalk, helping with events, or lending a hand behind the scenes... never went unnoticed.

Your time, talent, and heart have left a lasting mark on our students, our staff, and our community. We are so grateful for all you've done and know that wherever life takes you next, you'll continue making a difference.
