MEALS FOR KIDS WHEN SCHOOL IS OUT
 
For kids who rely on school meals, summer is a challenging time. That's when Carver's Food Service program steps in.

During the month of July, our Food Service program prepared 3,986 breakfasts and 11,255 lunches for distribution at the three Port Chester Elementary Schools, the Middle School, and for our teens here at Carver.
CARVER'S NEW SCHOLARSHIPS FOR
HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

We celebrated our scholarship recipients at a recent informal reception at Carver.

The Feffi Stiassni Scholarship of Excellence recipients: Ana Ruiz (Excellence in Academics), Danny Davis (Excellence in Academics & Athletics),
Edwin Joseph Ayala Tenesaca (Excellence in Academics & Music).

LEARNING ABOUT FOOD INSECURITY

Our summer enrichment program is winding down. It's been a great experience for our children. A group of campers received a tour of our Carver Market, given by Chef Peter Cregan, of our Food Services program. Peter explained about the Market operations and how important the Market is to the local community.
THE WHEELS ON THE BUS
GO ROUND AND ROUND

Carver's Logistics Coordinator, Mike Williams passed the test for CDL licensing and will become the official driver of our new school bus, funded through the support of the A.E. Family Foundation and Impact 100 Westchester. The possibilities are endless for our new mode of transportation.
 
This was a very complex process, and we are all grateful and very proud of him.
DON'T MISS OUT ON OUR FALL AQUATICS CLASSES

We have a robust schedule of SWIM CLASSES available this fall. There will be THREE registration dates for the following classes:

  1. Registration begins on Tuesday, August 16 from 9:00am - 12:00pm for our Saturday Group Lessons, Parent & Child, Swim Team Clinic and Family Swim.
  2. Registration begins Tuesday, August 23, 9:00am - 12:00pm for Littles Learn to Swim, Senior Water Aerobics and Adult Water Aerobics.
  3. Walk-in registration begins Wednesday, September 7 for Lap Swim Membership for Adults & Seniors.
