Dedicated to Promoting Mental Health
Hannah's House 2021 Fundraising Campaign
Greetings!

Hannah's House, a local nonprofit mental health center, is kicking off its 2021 Fundraising Campaign and it needs your support! You may have contributed to the Mad Marathon fundraiser in the past, are familiar with Hannah's House due to your connection to the greater Waterbury/Mad River Valley Community, or have recently moved to the area. The need for mental health services and self-care in our rural location is greater than ever and your donation will help ensure support for those in need.
The Campaign
Historically, Hannah’s House has raised a majority of its funds through its affiliation with the Mad Marathon.

This year, Hannah’s House is conducting a more direct fundraising campaign with the help of its matching sponsors. These organizations have agreed to each generously contribute $5,000 for a total of $25,000 toward the first $25,000 raised by individual donors. Our goal is to raise $75,000 by December 31, 2021 and these funds will directly support Hannah's House Therapists as well as supporting community education and outreach programs.
About Hannah's House
Hannah’s House is a community-supported Vermont based nonprofit mental health and resource center dedicated to promoting emotional and mental health for children, teens, families and individuals. It provides local, accessible counseling services in Waterbury, Waitsfield and on local school campuses, community outreach through education, financial assistance, and alternative therapies such as neurofeedback brain training.

As a small organization, Hannah's House is able to respond quickly to local emergencies such as the tragic loss of five teenagers in 2016 and the more recent COVID pandemic, when therapists quickly pivoted to telemedicine providing over 4,000 hours of counseling in 2020.

Examples of meeting the communities needs in 2021:
  • Partnering with schools to provide viewings of "Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER"
  • Providing educational workshops in-person and virtually via Zoom and local access television
  • Sponsoring a 7th & 8th grade weekly support group
  • Providing an ongoing bereavement group for adults
  • Provide scholarships for local youth enrichment programs
  • Free loan program of Verilux Happy Lights to address seasonal disorder
  • Direct financial assistance for therapy sessions

"...Finding quality therapists who have availability is absolutely getting more and more challenging as time goes by, and I do not know what we would do to fill the growing need if it were not for Hannah's House."
