Recent & Upcoming Programs
Training Success!
Our August Youth Mental Health First Aid Class offering was a success! This group of local neighbors learned how to help adolescents (age 12-18) experiencing a mental health or addiction challenge or who might be in crisis. Topics covered included anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD), and eating disorders. We thank Cara & Heather from Washington County Mental Health Services for providing the training as well as Rev. Mark Wilson for donating the beautiful space at the Waitsfield United Church of Christ. We are currently working with Harwood to bring a Teen Mental Health First Aid Class to high school students.
Community support offered this fall
Supporting Our Teachers

We are working again this fall with Mountain Rose Integrative Wellness in Waitsfield to provide all teachers and staff in our school district with yoga after school. We recognize that reducing stress is key for maintaining physical and emotional health.
Upcoming Group Therapy

Transforming Anxiety with Megan Bisbee, LCMHC

These are closed, limited-session, confidential therapy groups based on one topic (anxiety, depression, grief, etc.) that the group members share. Each group session includes psychoeducation, skill building in emotional regulation and introspection, mindfulness techniques, journaling, and art therapeutic interventions.
News from Our Team
Welcome Katie!
Meet the newest addition to our team! Hannah’s House is pleased to introduce Katie Fennelly as our Intern for the rest of 2022. Katie will be working under the supervision of Heidi Robbins to gain valuable experience working with a range of individuals during her semester long practicum. Katie is currently a student at Antioch University New England working towards a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Supervised practice is the part of the education and training process where clinicians get to start applying their knowledge from the classroom to gain practical skills through experience. Katie is excited to refine her clinical skills while serving our community.

Hannah's House is the November recipient

Shaw's in Waitsfield will donate a portion of each reusable bag purchased to Hannah's House for the month of November! Last year this effort yielded $250!

Thank you to Shaw's and the Mad River Valley community!
