National Council for Mental Wellbeing: "Getting Candid: Framing the Conversation Around Youth Substance Use Prevention" Guide

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing recently released a "Getting Candid: Framing the Conversation Around Youth Substance Use Prevention" guide for youth-serving providers. The guide is designed to equip youth-serving providers with substance use prevention messaging and share guidance on how to effectively deploy substance-use prevention messaging with middle and high school-aged youth.

This important training helps raise awareness and provide resources in an effort to reduce ACEs, foster resilience, and improve the overall health of our communities.

VDH Tobacco Control Program:
Tobacco-Free Tuesdays

Register now for Tobacco Free Tuesday webinar on February 15th at 10 AM to join Dr. Phillip Duncan, a cardiologist and Board President of the American Heart Association's Richmond Board in discussing the health risks of tobacco use.

National Guard Presents:
Human Trafficking Presentation

The Virginia Army National Guard Drug Task Force and the Department of Homeland Security will be hosting a Human Trafficking Presentation on Monday, February 28th from 10-12 pm at 3300 Courthouse Road, Richmond, VA, 23236 to discuss Human Trafficking Victim issues and Homeland Security Investigations resources.

Keeping Teens Safe Presentation:
March 10, 2022, 7-9 pm

Save the date for our virtual 'Keeping Teens Safe' workshop on March 10th from 7-9 pm. This collaborative community event will focus on teens and family conversations around mental wellness, self-care, and resilience, offering tangible resources and conversation strategies to start in the home.
