In this interactive workshop, Hansa will delve into how the turmoil and tension between parties in conflict impacts the conflict professional, based upon the Understanding-Based Model, developed by Gary Friedman. We will explore different ways to access what happens to us on the inside and how we can transform our awareness to build empathy, understanding, and deepen our connections with the parties.
Specifically, we will learn and practice the 5 Steps to the Inner V Diagram to understand ourselves, and the parties, aiming to build meaningful connections. When we explore our inner experience, it encourages parties to explore, access and express their vulnerability.
Additionally, through discussions, demonstrations, and role plays, we will:
- Learn and practice ways to develop self-awareness.
- Deepen our understanding and connections to parties by enhancing self-awareness.
- Explore how bias and judgments can get in the way.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able:
- Learn a specific method on how to reflect and develop self-awareness on how the tension in a case is impacting you.
- Practice the 5 steps to using the Inner V Diagram to develop self-awareness and at the same time deepen our understanding and build connections with parties.
- Learn to identify what gets in the way of empathy and building connections.
