Building a Library for the Next Generation

To the Hanson Community,

Newsletter 1 | November 2025

Hanson’s library is a big presence packed into a small space. The building is not large enough to accommodate the wide range of programs offered for children and adults, the demand for meeting rooms, and the size of the collection.

Thanks to a state grant, we now have the opportunity to create a larger, welcoming, more patron-friendly library that serves our resident’s needs and desires and is built for the way we learn and connect today.

Libraries are an essential community resource. All ages use the library, and with an expansion/renovation we can step into the future to create a building that modernizes space, improves accessibility, and is flexible in today’s ever-changing world.
