INVITE THE YOUTH IN YOUR LIFE TO EXPERIENCE "HAPPENING"
A Weekend of Faith, Friendship, and Transformation
Do you know a young person who’s searching for deeper faith, stronger friendships, and a sense of belonging? Invite them to Happening—a weekend retreat led by youth, for youth—designed to help high schoolers experience God’s love in real and lasting ways.
Happening is more than just a retreat. It’s a weekend of renewal, connection, and joy where high school students discover how their faith meets real life. Through music, laughter, talks, small groups, and powerful moments of worship, participants (“Happeners”) experience the love of Christ and the support of a caring Christian community.
Who can attend:
9th–12th graders are invited to participate in this sacred weekend.
The weekend begins Friday evening and concludes Sunday afternoon. It’s a full and sacred time together—one that often becomes a defining experience in a young person’s spiritual journey. Many describe Happening as “life-changing,” “eye-opening,” and “the moment faith became real.”
How you can help:
-
Clergy and youth leaders: personally invite youth in your congregation to attend.
-
Parents and grandparents: encourage your teens and their friends to sign up.
-
Parishioners: sponsor a youth or contribute to scholarship funds to make Happening accessible for all.
And if you know of a high schooler who has already been a Happener, encourage them to serve on the Happening Staff.
Let’s help our youth see that God’s love is alive and real—and that they are surrounded by a community that believes in them.
The cost is $75. Scholarships are available. For questions or financial assistance, please contact our Happening Coordinator, Meghan Johnson, at meghantj02@gmail.com.
Together, let’s make sure every young person has the chance to experience this incredible weekend of faith and friendship.
