   When I was growing up, my parents always told me, "actions speak louder than words.". As followers of Christ, we are challenged to put our faith into action. In the letter of James we are reminded, "What good is it my brothers and sisters, if you have faith but do not have works?". It can be easy to get caught up in the study of the word that we forget to put the word into practice. Each day we are faced with that challenge. If one has a "servant's heart", then it becomes your common practice to put the needs of others ahead of yours. In our morning prayers, we should ask, "what would you have me do today Lord?". Our actions may not change the world, but how we serve those we encounter, may change their world for that moment. Keep shining!

Many of you have expressed concerns to the church about how to help immigrants and refugees. The Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island has many programs focused on these members of our community. Here is the help they are asking for right now:

Annual Meeting and Potluck This Sunday!

We are running are extremely low on items for our community food pantry that we have outside the church, which is open to anyone who needs it. It is getting quite popular! We would really appreciate any contribution you can make. It can be canned goods, pasta, rice, crackers, individual snacks, granola or protein bars, flour, peanut butter, ramen whatever you think would help someone else! We do ask that it be non-perishable and food that will not freeze outside due to the cold weather!
