June 19 

Young At Heart will meet on June 19 th due to VBS. Our special guest for the day will be Amanda Hinson, new secretary for the Senior Pastor, and Jagger Eastman and wife Anna. Jagger is our new Director of Outreach Ministries/Sports Ministries. They will share about their new work at St James and about their faith journey. It will be a great opportunity for you to get to know these two new team members at St. James.


VBS will be June 11-13 from 9am-12pm. This is a free event where you will go on an adventure to an uncharted island and discover the biblical truths that Jesus rescues! CD's are $5.  Click here to register

FREE Active Shooter Seminar! 

Join us Saturday, June 2nd from 10-11:30 for a free seminar put on by Montgomery County Sheriff's Department & Merrill Lynch! We will meet in the Family Life Center at 10:00am. 

Capitol Sounds Concert Band 

The Capitol Sounds Concert Band will present it's "Summer Spectacular' concert Thursday, June 7, 7:00 pm at St. James UMC. The concert will feature Dvorak's "Carnival Overture", plus the "Light Calvary Overture" by Franz von Suppe. George Gershwin's "An American in Paris" will also be included, as well as a medley of songs by Louis Armstrong, titled "Satchmo!". The Leroy Anderson classic "The Syncopated Clock" will be on the program, as well as music by John Philip Sousa and other great selections.  Everyone is invited to come out for a great evening of music, with a little something for everyone!
