Located in Westminster, CA , Della Rosa is officially complete and occupied! Della Rosa is a two- and three-story, affordable housing development serving local residents in the City of Westminster and Orange County Della Rosa offers 50 apartment units with 25 studio units housing formerly homeless individuals. The other 25 units are comprised of one- and two-bedroom apartments for families and individuals earning 50% area median income or less in the County of Orange. Resident amenities include a community room with shared kitchen, on-site laundry, on-site management, and on-site supportive services. Located in downtown San Diego, CA, The LINK offers 88 studio affordable apartments. A $35 million dollar community, wrap around services are offered to resident by PATH The seven story community was designed by Carrier Johnson +Culture,and offers sunlight-filled units with open aired hallways. Common areas totaling approximately 4,000 SF. numerous community gathering rooms, management offices and a large outdoor terrace. Aria is a permanent supportive housing development created in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Housing Department, and Department of Health Services designed to reduce homelessness in Los Angeles. Designed in a welcoming and contemporary architectural style, this affordable housing project consists of a one 5-story building containing a total of 57 residential units with dual elevator access to all floor levels including a roof deck. Nearly completed, the new community will offer wrap around services via Homeless Healthcare of Los Angeles. The new community is designed by Togawa Smith Martin.

Ruby awards hosted by the San Diego Housing Federation, awards Bluewater and Stella, named project of the year! The community Zephyr, named rehab of the year! Both of these communities mark strides in the Affirmed portfolio as both stand out as accomplishments for their unique designs, adaptability, and timely development. The Orchard at Hilltop, AKA Hiltop and Euclid, is under construction! Three years in the making, the new community will offer 113 affordable homes consisting of studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartment homes. The new development will also improve local infrastructure as well as offer commercial space designed for retail and or dining, to enliven the local community. Designed by Studio E Architects, the development will be built by HA Builders.

Affirmed's third development in the city of San Jose, Vela will be an 87 unit mixed-income housing development serving families in the Mayfair neighborhood of East San Jose. Forty-three (43) of the units will be set aside for the formerly homeless with 14 reserved for Rapid Rehousing (RRH) and 29 reserved for Supportive Housing. Supportive services will be provided by theCounty Office of Supportive Housing, as well PATH, which will serve as the Lead Service Provider for the PSH & RRH units. This development will follow the successful, collaborative model of our Villas on the Park project, currently being constructed in Downtown San Jose, in addition to following Quetzal Gardens' successful outreach process.

Windsor Pointe will provide 50 affordable residences for Veterans and their families with incomes of 30-60% of the Area Median Income. A portion of the units will provide Permanent Supportive Housing for formerly homeless veterans with extremely low incomes. Located in Carlsbad, the new development will be composed of 2, two- and three-story buildings. The Special Needs units will be equally distributed between the two project sites. Designed by Dhalin Group , the new community will be completed by Spring 2022.

We are excited to share the promotion of Jonathan Taylor, Vice President, Asset Management. The promotion comes after Jonathan's numerous years spent in project management roles. When the opportunity arose, Jonathan was eager to offer his expertise in his new role at Affirmed where he will manage Affirmed's portfolio of over 50 communities throughout California. Elena Brown joins Affirmed with over 30 years experience in accounting. Specializing in home building accounting, Elena started her career with the Irvine Company and found her niche in the construction side of accounting. She spent another 15 years with a small business until her recent arrival at Affirmed. Her expertise and knowledge of development accounting are a positive addition to the Affirmed team. Here at Affirmed, she will be the project accountant for multiple projects.

Shashank Agrawal joined the Affirmed team at the beginning of June and is based in our San Jose office. He recently graduated from Stanford University with a master's in Sustainable Design and Construction with a focus on Construction Management. He completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering in India. His past experience includes working as a Site Engineer and an Assistant Project Manager for a non-profit organization. In his free time, he enjoys swimming and learning classical guitar. Please welcome Shashank to the team!

Vianney Ruvalcaba joined the Affirmed team June 2020 as an Assistant Project Manager. She graduated from UC San Diego with a BA in Urban Studies and Planning and a minor in Spanish literature. Previously, Vianney worked as a Transportation and Planning Coordinator. In her free time, she enjoys riding her bike and volunteering for environmental justice campaigns. Vianney speaks English, Spanish, and some German from her time in Germany studying Urban Design at Bauhaus University. Please welcome Vianney to the team!

Tania Moshirian joined the Affirmed team in late February as an Assistant Project Manager providing project management support from acquisition to project completion. Tania is an alum of local university, UCSD. She graduated with her BA in Urban Studies and Planning with a double minor in Business and Accounting. Her experience includes four years in the public sector of City Planning, and one year as an Assistant Project Manager with a non-profit organization. Welcome to the team Tania!

Affirmed has partnered with Compass For Affordable Housing to provide grocery gift cards for all Affirmed residents currently experiencing COVID-19 prompted hardships. A generous gift by Affirmed, over 900 residents will be receiving aid in the hopes they will be able to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with their loved ones.

Affirmed Housing's COVID Relief Fund for Local & Small Businesses
In June Affirmed Housing began an endeavor to strengthen our local, small businesses that were suffering because of COVID-19 closings and restrictions. Affirmed employees were each able to provide an Affirmed sponsored $1,000 donation to a local business of their choosing. These businesses include:
