Happening at Hildebrand

A Message from the CEO

CEO Hadaryah T. Morgan

Dear Hildebrand Community,

Hildebrand is entering 2026 boldly. We’re piloting new programs, strengthening our existing services, and reaffirming our commitment to stable and affordable housing for all. From upstream diversion interventions that prevent families from losing their homes, to financial education and matched savings that propel families towards their long-term economic goals, Hildebrand is working together with families to increase their stability and move from surviving to thriving.

While it’s easy to feel defeated by the rising cost of living, housing shortage, and threats to the vital programs that keep our communities running, we’re pushing forward with hope, resolve, and an unwavering vision. We’re committed to driving towards the future we want: safety, stability, and permanent homes for all families. We are grateful for your continued support and partnership as we work together towards a bright future for our communities.

Upstream Diversion Program Pilot

This year, with funding from the Eileen P. Roche Foundation, Hildebrand will pilot an Upstream Diversion Program aimed at preventing families from losing their homes. Hildebrand will provide diversion resource navigation and emergency financial assistance to families facing early housing instability in order to help them remain in their homes and avoid shelter entry. After the initial pilot, Hildebrand will evaluate the program’s impact, adjust our program model, and expand the program to reach more families before they experience homelessness.

Youth Music Program with Shelter Music Boston

Hildebrand is partnering with Shelter Music Boston (SMB) to host music programming for families on-site at Hildebrand’s shelters. At SMB's interactive concerts, kids have a chance to experience live music from professional musicians, learn about the arts, try out musical instruments, express themselves, connect with each other, and have fun.

We’re grateful to the Lincoln and Therese Filene Foundation for supporting this collaboration, which brings more joy, creativity, and community into our shelters.

Hildebrand's 2025 Holiday Drive & Market was a great success! Our community of partners and supporters generously contributed toys, books, winter gear, hygiene products, and more. At our Holiday Market, parents in shelter selected holiday gifts for their children, as well as other essential items for their families. Thank you to all who helped make the holidays joyful at Hildebrand—and a special thanks to our volunteers!
