A Message from the CEO

In Greater Boston and across the country, we’re facing unprecedented threats to vital programs and services that help our communities thrive. Yet, Hildebrand remains as committed as ever to realizing our vision that every family has a home.

We understand the issue of family homelessness—and we know the solution. With the support of Hildebrand’s team, 102 families moved out of shelter and into safe, affordable permanent homes in FY25. In April, we set a Hildebrand record, with 22 families transitioning into permanent housing in just one month.

As we move into FY26, Hildebrand is eager to continue strengthening our support for families. To that end, I’m excited to share that Hildebrand was recently awarded a ten-year grant from Cummings Foundation to develop, pilot, and scale an economic mobility program for Hildebrand families. We’re also expanding support for youth; summer camp is in full swing, and we're launching on-site music programming this summer in collaboration with our new partner, Shelter Music Boston.

Hildebrand is thrilled to announce that we've been awarded a ten-year grant from Cummings Foundation! Funding will support the development, pilot, and expansion of an economic mobility program for families in Hildebrand's Stabilization Services Program.

Hildebrand's new economic mobility program will include financial education for both clients and staff, as well as a matched savings program for families who have recently moved out of shelter. During the grant period, Hildebrand will also develop a model for social enterprise that will support families' economic mobility while also generating sustainable revenue for the organization.

Hildebrand would like to recognize our outstanding partner, Dignity Matters, which provides essential hygiene and menstrual products for families living in shelter at Hildebrand. Thank you, Dignity Matters, for your partnership!

Meet Tunji Clary, Senior Housing Specialist at Hildebrand! Tunji works with families in our co-shelter program, and she's been with Hildebrand for more than 10 years. Hear about Tunji's experience working with families to secure safe, affordable, permanent homes.

Hildebrand is working with families in shelter to make sure every kid and teen has fun, safe, and enriching plans for their summer break. Thank you to all who contributed to the All Set for Summer Fund! With your support, kids in our shelter programs will be able to access summer camp, local museums, and enrichment for the whole summer.
