A Message from the Acting CEO

With the wave of recent executive orders and policy changes at the federal and state level, many in our community are experiencing fear and uncertainty about what the future holds. I would like to take this moment to reiterate Hildebrand’s unwavering commitment to our families, our staff, and our mission.

At Hildebrand, we are committed to the families in our community and the staff who make our mission possible. Rooted in the social action ministry of St. Paul AME Church, we take pride in fostering an environment that truly represents and embraces the communities we support.

Each day, Hildebrand seeks to live out our organizational values of creativity and initiative, communication, diversity, and equity. As unprecedented times and chaos become the norm, Hildebrand will stand firm in our mission, protect those in our care, and never compromise our values.

Thank you for standing with us as we work towards our vision that every family has a home.

Chief Financial Officer & Acting CEO

Permanent Supportive Housing Program Opens

Hildebrand recently opened our first-ever Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Program, which will offer permanent housing and ongoing case management support for 13 families experiencing homelessness.

Nine of the units are located together in one building, and Hildebrand’s Tenant Support Manager will be on-site to support clients. This new program is funded through the Boston Continuum of Care, which is part of the Mayor’s Office of Housing.

Rebecca Elliott Headshot

Our first-ever Health Systems Navigator, Rebecca Elliott, recently joined the Hildebrand team! In this position, Rebecca is working to connect families in shelter with mental and physical health resources and care.

Rebecca is currently collecting data about the health issues that are most prevalent among families in shelter and building partnerships with providers who will help meet those health-related needs. For example, Hildebrand recently expanded its partnership with Spoonfuls, which provides healthy, fresh food for families.
