Worship With Us
TODAY is Ash Wednesday, which is the beginning of the season of LENT. Join us for a special Ash Wednesday service Live on Zoom at 6:30 PM TODAY. (Grab two items for the service….1. a candle and 2. either ashes or a bit of olive oil.)

This Sunday is a bit….different. There will still be a pre-recorded service online. However, it is a joint worship service led by CUC in community with two other Ecumenical Churches.

All three churches (Columbine United, Mountain View United and Montbello United) and all three denominations (UCC, PCUSA and UMC) will be represented.  Each year we have a joint worship service with the other Ecumenical Churches, usually on a Sunday afternoon in February. This year you get to share our service - online.

The Mom’s group is reading the book Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell. We welcome new people at any time and we meet on Thursday’s (1st and 3rd of the month) at 7pm. We are meeting this Thursday, February 18, 7:00 PM. Email Jill to get connected.

Sunday Morning Adult Education: This Sunday, February 21, Ad Ed continues the series to recognize and honor Black History Month.  CUC's Nancy Bierman will present and lead a discussion about the work of several African American poets - including National Poet Laureates and those in the Harlem Renaissance.  These poets illustrate the use of poetry to focus on struggle and hope.

Next Sunday, February 28, "Highlighting Black Experiences" will conclude the series on recognizing and honoring Black History Month.  CUC's Janet Kester, Ruthann Moomy, and Suzan Leach will present some video clips and words from Black authors to illustrate the point and to start discussion.

The CUC Men’s Poker group plays every Thursday evening online at 7:00 PM. It is free and we only play for bragging rights. If interested please contact Tom Rehling (tomrehling@me.com) for more information.

Youth and Families
Thank You to the Youth and Leaders who put together the awesome Valentines Care packages. And thank you to the 20 of you who purchased these gifts. You gave a double gift...one to a friend and a second one to youth mission funds.
Calling all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Join us on February 25 at 5:30 on Zoom to help us plan for the church's Maundy Thursday gathering. We need your help researching and preparing a Seder Meal for families. We will discuss the importance of Lent and figure out how we can help others do the same!
