Library Trustee Openings
There will be two vacancies on the Library’s Board of Trustees. Persons interested in serving on the Board are invited to pick up petitions at the Library’s Circulation Desk beginning Monday July 19, 2021. Petitions with a minimum of 25 names must be submitted to the Director of the Library no late than August 13, 2021. At the September Budget Vote, names of the candidates who have submitted petitions will appear on the ballot and the community will cast votes for Library Trustees. New Trustees will begin their 3-year terms in November 2021.

Memory Loss, Dementia, & Alzheimer's Disease

Parker Jewish Institute’s Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands program has partnered with the Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s disease at Stony Brook University to present an informative discussion led by an experienced physician about Alzheimer’s disease. Concerned about Dementia? Not sure where to get answers about the facts and myths regarding memory loss? This session offers an understanding of the causes and types of dementia and when to speak with your doctor.

Deep Earth Diving with
Eco-Photo Explorers

 The world’s largest freshwater scuba diving site is located in the foothills of the Missouri Ozark Mountains, offering a unique experience. Tonight we’ll discover the sunken remains of a working mineral mine, complete with equipment, rail tracks, ore cart, elevator shafts and even intact buildings.

Youth and Parenting Department
All grab and go crafts and activities are inside now. Stop by Monday through Friday 9am-7:30pm.
 
We are on our way, goodbye Antarctica and onto Australia. New crafts and activities based on the new continent this week. Here is a sample of week four for the youngest then older elementary.
As a result of the inconsistent weather this summer we are no longer at the Tent. Please come into the library any weekday between
9am-7:30pm to collect reading club prizes and grab and go activities.

Sign up for the reading club and make your weekly guess of items in the guessing jar. The closest without going over wins a gift card to Magic Fountain!

Tuesday July 20, Let's Dance Little Ones at 3:30pm. There is still room in this class. Please call 631-298-4134 line 2 to reserve a spot.
Tuesday July 20, Hip Hop Dance for grades 3 and up. This registered class is full.
Wednesday July 21, Zoom with Alpacas from Red Barn Farm at 11am. Please call for the Zoom link.
