Happenings @ St. David's
Greetings!

Our gospel message from this past Sunday is from John the Baptist, urging us to 'repent' - hardly a Hallmark holiday card! Yet John calls us to a deeper experience than the frantic preparation for our Christmas celebration. John calls us to the desert - a silent, stark landscape, where we ponder the ways in which we live in the dark, and turn our eyes to watch for the light that is to come.

How are you preparing for Jesus to come? If you find yourself in the dark in this busy time, follow John to the desert. Take time to ponder the ways we wander from the light. Consider our great need for a savior. Make room in your life and heart for the coming of the Christ. The light is coming.

Blessings,
