Happenings at St. David's
Greetings!
Did you hear it? Were you listening? Are you listening now?

So often, we cannot hear what God is saying. Many loud voices compete for our attention. The gospel stories are so familiar, after all. We get tired or distracted or overwhelmed.

We cannot afford to miss what God is doing and saying, especially now. As God’s people, we cannot afford to be asleep or distracted when God is speaking to us. Are you listening?

God is surely at work, especially in such times as the times in which we are living.
God is surely speaking to each one of us, sustaining us through trial and challenging us to use this time to break out of old patterns, burst out of pots that have kept us root-bound, and find new hope filled ways of living in community.

God speaks through scripture, fellow sojourners, the creation around us, those we love and those with whom we disagree. Always, God calls us to love. Always, we are called to see Jesus in everyone, without exception.

Let those with ears, hear. Thanks be to our ever-speaking, ever-creating, ever-loving God.

Blessings,

Re. Mary Kay
