A Note from Dr. Malloy

As my time in the district winds down, I want to take a moment to reflect on the amazing partnerships SRVUSD has with our community. What makes this district truly exceptional is the strong sense of community that exists in the San Ramon Valley and I am incredibly proud of the work we have done together. In my career, I have never seen such a strong shared commitment to students. The work we have done together, and the steps you will continue to take under CJ Cammack’s leadership, is an investment in today and for the future. This collective dedication assures that every SRVUSD student can succeed and thrive.

I have been meeting with Mr. Cammack to ensure a smooth transition as I wind down, and he gets ready to take over on July 1st. Under his and the Board’s leadership, the things SRVUSD is known for - a steadfast commitment to staff, students and families, a solid foundation of academic excellence, and a forward-thinking approach to education that broadens the definition of success, will continue to lead to exemplary outcomes.

Below is a message that Mr. Cammack requested I share with you:

I am honored to join this exceptional district as your new superintendent. With a strong sense of community and a shared commitment to our students, I am confident that we will continue to foster the educational environments that help every student achieve their goals. I look forward to working with each and every one of you to build on SRVUSD’s successes.

Sincerely,

CJ Cammack

In closing, I want to express how proud I am of the incredible journey we have taken together in SRVUSD over the last four years. Our Strategic Directions have plotted a transformative course. Our Learner Profile guides how we design learning opportunities for our students. Our relationships with each other drive our successful work. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Superintendent in SRVUSD.

I trust that Mr. Cammack's leadership will lead the district to even greater heights.

Take Care,

Dr. John Malloy

Superintendent, SRVUSD

A Note from Gary Alpert,

President of SRVEF Board of Directors

Friends of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation,

As we wind down summer and begin to think about the new school year, I’d like to thank the individual school ed funds for all they do. We want to extend a special welcome and thank you to all our new and returning Affiliates board members, and offer heartfelt thanks to board members who are moving on. We appreciate your willingness to help your schools.

Each school has its own Ed Fund/Booster affiliated with SRVEF, operating under a board of directors. Affiliates individually plan fundraising activities in collaboration with their site school administration. Each Affiliate makes funding decisions with input from their school administrator and approval from their board.

SRVEF provides oversight, advice, and counsel to our Affiliates. We host online and in-person meetings throughout the school year where each of our Affiliates has an opportunity to meet one another and listen to guest speakers. We also offer training throughout the year on various topics of interest.

SRVEF board members serve as liaisons to one or more Affiliates, building a personal and direct relationship with their board and school staff. We are fortunate to have such dedicated board members who willingly donate their valuable time to the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. We all know the importance of supporting our schools with time and donations. Thank you.

Given the State budget and ongoing funding challenges, supporting SRVEF and/or your local school is more important than ever. SRVEF raises funds separately from the individual schools through community wide events and programs, such as the Run for Education, Friends of the Foundation Donation campaign, and gifts to our Endowment Fund. SRVEF also seeks corporate donations and sponsorships. Do you know of a business that is interested in making a difference? Please let us know by contacting us at info@SRVEF.org.

One of our largest fundraisers, the Run for Education, will be on Sunday, October 13th, 2024. Whether you have students in school or not, please join us for a fun-filled Day. Registration is open now. Come for the Run and Stay for the Fun!

We are saying goodbye to two of our board members, Rob Stockberger and Dinesh Govindarao. We thank them for their service to the Foundation and appreciate their efforts over the years to support the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Malloy for his leadership these past four years. We thank him for guiding our district in furthering academic excellence while broadening the definition of success. He has been a strong supporter of each student in our district and a great Friend of the Foundation. We wish Dr. Malloy success in his future endeavors.

Have a great summer!
