Scripture Readings for July 6, 2025

God is the source of our nourishment. Jesus’ invitation to “take and eat . . . take and drink” is a repeated one. In holy communion, in the word read and proclaimed, in the assembly of the people of God, the dominion of God has come near. Rejoice! Your name is written in heaven.

Isaiah 66:10-14; Psalm 66:1-9; Galatians 6:[1-6] 7-16; Luke 10:1-11, 16-20

Knot Perfect Quilters

"Those who sleep under a quilt, sleep under a blanket of love."

The HLC Knot Perfect Quilters is a small group that meets weekly to make quilts.

On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays they meet at 3:00 in the 502 ministry center. They use the quilt frame room to tie finished tops and the large room to match squares and design layouts to be sewn into tops. These quilts are sent to Lutheran World Relief to be distributed throughout the world where there is great need in times of hardship and disaster. All are welcome. Contact Barbara Sylvester. Email: bnsylvester@twc.com Cell: 903-819-4004.

On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays the group meets in the Fellowship Hall from 9am until 12pm to sew together quilt squares and design and layout new squares for sewing.

HLC Committee Meetings Week

Hutto Lutheran embodies the body of Christ at the beginning of each month by the meeting of 7 active committees (Fellowship, Outreach, Property and Cemetery, Worship and Music, Christian Education, Stewardship and Finance and Communications). There are other committees that meet as needed including the Vacation Bible School and Fundraising committees. Guests are welcome to these meetings. Times and locations (in person or online) are listed in the Sunday bulletin and on the HLC google calendar through the HLC website. Questions can be directed to points of contact for each committee listed in the bottom of the elink or to the church office.

Save the date for a prayer team ministry meeting on July 27th at 9:00am in the church office. The goal of the meeting is to check in about visions/hopes of the prayer team ministry and recommit to a new year of praying. This is something that we will do annually at the beginning of each program year.

If you are unable to make the meeting but would still like to be a part of the ministry we can schedule a time to connect sometime between July 27th and the beginning of the program year in September.

If you have not participated in this ministry in the past but are interested in praying for others, you are also welcome.

Feel free to email pastor@huttolutheranchurch.org or text/call 512-636-9784.

We cover one to two chapters each week.
