ONLINE GIVING

40 days of Lent

You are welcome at Hutto Lutheran Church

regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, belief, income level or education. We invite you to be a part of this faith community

Our Mission

We are one body in Christ, sent in Faith to share God's Love, through Worship, Service, Fellowship and Witness.

Second Sunday in Lent

March 16, 2025

Paraments color: PURPLE

Scripture Readings for March 16, 2025

Though we sometimes doubt and often resist God’s desire to protect and save us, our God persists. In holy baptism, God’s people have been called and gathered into a God-initiated relationship that will endure. Lent provides the church with a time and a tradition in which to seek God’s face again. Lent provides another occasion to behold the God of our salvation in the face of the Blessed One who “comes in the name of the Lord.”

Genesis 15:1-12, 17-18; Psalm 27; Philippians 3:17-4:1; Luke 13:31-35

From the Pastor's Desk

Grace and peace to you!

I don't know if you experience this or not, but for me as a pastor, every year as lent approaches there is a looming sense of dread. What all needs to be thought of? What all needs to be done?

And yet every year when lent actually arrives I find meaning and connection that I didn't know my faith was needing, I find motivation and strength and accountability for discipleship that comes from all of you, from a community committing to go on this journey together. Your faithfulness, your curiosity, your seeking God's face impacts my own faith.

Thank you for the gift of going on this lenten journey with you!

God’s peace,

Pastor Amanda
