HURRICANE DORIAN UPDATE
HURRICANE PREPARATION
We are closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian as it approaches Florida. Due to hurricane preparations, a consensus was reached among church leadership in conjunction with clergy, trustees, and office administration to have one combined service this Sunday at 9:30am. There will be Sunday School at 9:30am. There will NOT be services at 8am or 11am. 

The following events have been canceled:

Sunday, Sep 1:
8am Service
11am Service, and Sunday School
All Adult Bible Studies

Monday, Sep 2:
Dine with Jesus
Spanish Class
All Bible Studies

Tuesday, Sep 3:
All activities canceled

If needed, there will be hurricane cleanup on campus starting Tuesday, Sep 3. 
Please take all precautions to safeguard you and your family, and stay tuned for any future updates and possible cancellations.

50TH ANNIVERSARY GALA BANQUET
SEPTEMBER 20
This year marks First Church Coral Springs' 50 th Anniversary! A gala banquet has been planned for September 20 at 7pm, upstairs in the Faith Building. Time is running out to buy your tickets to this evening that celebrates our church legacy, honors our long term members and looks forward to our bright future. T ickets are available to purchase online at  http://bit.ly/galabanquet ,  or this Sunday at the Welcome Center. 
HAPPENINGS
DIVORCECARE & DC4K
SEPTEMBER 29
DivorceCare and DC4K is a Christian based support group for families dealing with  divorce. DivorceCare is intended for adults and DC4K their children ages 5-12. The 13 week curriculum is designed to move  participants through recovery and to  support and encourage rebuilding a healthy life. Participants can join at any point in the cycle of topics and although every week  attendance is encouraged, it is not  mandatory. DivorceCare will meet in the OTT classroom on Sundays from 10:45a- 12:15p and DC4K will meet on Sundays in the preschool room from 10:45a-12:15p.  Childcare is available for infants and  toddlers. The first meeting will be Sunday, Sep 29. We are looking for volunteers to lead the groups. Please contact Lynne MacDonald at  violynne203@gmail.com with any questions or to sign up. 
FIRST CHURCH NAME TAGS
Thank you for purchasing a First Church name tag! If you ordered before July 28, your name tag has arrived and can be picked up at the Welcome Center this Sunday. If you placed an order after this date, the name tags are expected to arrive by Sep 8 and can be collected at that time. Going forward, we will place orders for name tags monthly. BETHLEHEM REVISITED MAGNETS
Free reminder magnets with the important Bethlehem Revisited dates will be available at the Welcome Center this Sunday. All volunteers (and potential volunteers) are encouraged to pick one up.

We are seeking committed, friendly volunteers to serve in our new Welcome Center, our parking ministry, greeters, ushers, coffee, and our new security team. Training will be provided for all. In most cases, we are only asking for a once or twice per month commitment. Please leave your non-perishable food items in the shopping carts in front of the  Sanctuary on Sunday mornings. We are looking for the following items: protein bars, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, macaroni & cheese, canned food (beans, vegetables, soups, pasta sauce), pasta, and canned tuna/chicken. Please make sure nothing is expired or opened.
