Hardman Farm Celebrates 150 years in 2021!
|
|
Hardman Farm is Georgia's newest state historic site. In just five short seasons we have grown to a 7 day operation employing 10 staff members. We have welcomed an amazing 1-mile A.D.A. paved riverside trail, grounds lighting project, functional smokehouse and wood burning stove during this time. Hardman Farm is GROWING and we thank YOU, our guests and stakeholders, in helping us succeed.
The 2020-2021 season is our special 150th Anniversary! Hardman Farm was established by Capt. James H. Nichols in 1870. In addition to our regular annual events, we have added many special 150th events throughout the celebration year! Visit our website or Facebook page to view details.

We have enjoyed a bountiful harvest from our Hardman Farm gardens throughout the summer. Our produce cart has stayed full all summer long with cucumbers, peppers, squash, zucchini, heirloom tomatoes, corn, okra, sunflowers and watermelon.
Stop by and check out the produce cart 7 days a week, 10am -4pm at the Hardman Farm Visitor's Center.

We want to offer a warm welcome (back) to our new assistant manager, Scarlett Fuller.
Scarlett served as Hardman's marketing and event coordinator from 2018 to 2020, but spent the last year working for the Montana Department of Health and Human Services in Helena, Montana.
We are thrilled that Scarlett is returning to the Hardman Farm team!

Enjoy the feel of an old-fashioned country fair set in the beautiful Nacoochee Valley, surrounded by the colors of the season.
Hands-on pioneer skills and demonstrations, traditional craft vendors, local authors and historians and apple cider from a hand-cranked press are just a few of the experiences you can expect. Learn to make butter and sorghum or try your luck in a potato sack race or mining for gems.
Mark your calendar and tell your friends and family!
