WEEKLY E-blast news & updates

Even after Israel had experienced the vagaries of kings, the people still longed for a true king to set things right. He would have the king’s title of Anointed One (Messiah); he would be the “one like a human being” (Son of Man) given dominion in Daniel’s vision. Jesus is given these titles, even though he is nothing like an earthly king. His authority comes from the truth to which he bears witness, and those who recognize the truth voluntarily listen to him. We look forward to the day he is given dominion, knowing his victory will be the nonviolent victory of love. | |
The church office will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. We will reopen Monday, Dec. 2. |
We are sad to announce the death of LOL member Bobby McGuire. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 22 at 1pm at Lord of Life.
Please pray for his wife Charlene, daughters Katie Meyer and Kristie Dawson and their families and friends in this hour of grief.
There will be a memorial service for LOL member, Barbara Maurice, who passed away this week, on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 11am at Lord of Life. We lift up Barbara's daughter, Rita, her extended family and all her friends here at Lord of Life.
O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered: Accept our prayers on behalf of your servants, Bobby & Barbara and grant them an entrance into the land of light and joy, in the fellowship of your saints; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever, Amen.
