Dear Friends,
We have just celebrated our first anniversary at Painted Horse Winery and Vineyards. So much has happened in such a short time, and it is you, dear friends, who deserve the most credit and whom we are most grateful for our accomplishments.
Few wineries have grown as quickly or accomplished in their first year as much as we have. In the last couple of weeks we have bottled, labeled, capsuled and boxed 2200 bottles of wine, over 180 cases! That is a tremendous accomplishment for a boutique winery only a little over a year old! Especially considering that we are totally handcrafted and every single bottle is done one at a time. This wouldn’t have happened without John’s directorship. He and I laugh that in my first interview, over a year ago, with The Atlanta Journal and Constitution, in which I said that I hoped to produce 500 bottles in my first year…of course, that was before John joined me!
The best hallmark of our success, is you, our customers. We have been repeatedly told that people come to visit us as customers, but when you leave, you feel like family...and in our eyes you are!
In marking our first anniversary, I feel entitled to brag a bit—as you should too. By believing in Painted Horse Winery and Vineyards, you have made a very special place possible. Thank you, dear friends!
