With tax season around the corner, here are some reminders:
ACH Rules require the Credit Union to post ACH (direct deposit) transactions based off the account number; therefore, it is imperative to verify your account number when filing your taxes. Every year we receive many tax refunds with incorrect account numbers and are prohibited from transferring the funds into the correct account. Protect yourself when completing your returns by double checking the numbers before you submit.
It's also important to note that there is a limit of three tax refunds that can be deposited to a single account.
Did you know you can sign up for e-alerts simply by enrolling through Flightline? It's easy to set up emails and/or texts to notify you when certain things take place on your account. For example, set up notifications if a transaction exceeds a certain amount or your balance goes below a preset threshold. It's a great security feature and it's included with every account.
