UPCOMING EVENTS

Greetings from Port Ludlow,

Can you believe that August is almost here?

Here at the resort we have had a fun July full of celebration. We are enjoying the summer wedding season, it always puts a smile on our faces when we see a happy couple and their guests on their special day.

In support of our local community, we catered the Jefferson Land Trust annual fundraising event at Finnriver Cidery. This year we served 300 guests and 45 volunteers right there on the farm. This is a big event for us and one that we are proud to be a part of as the Jefferson Land Trust does many great things in our county including supporting our local farmers and keeping our farm lands the way they are forever.

Speaking of farmers, our team will be catering the Jefferson County Farmers Markets upcoming Farm-To-Table Benefit Dinner on Sunday, Sept. 3, at White Lotus Farm. Early-bird tickets are available now. On the 20th we hosted a winemaker dinner with Sage Rat Wines. The wine dinners are entertaining, educational and so much fun. Make sure you don't miss the next one in September with Scenic Valley Farms from Oregon.

We have a number of great events coming up in August including Lady Washington's stop at the marina. Check out the Upcoming Events Calendar for all of our local events.

We hope to see you soon. Come relax and play on the Olympic Peninsula, especially on the less crowded Sunday through Wednesdays.

Cheers,

Dan Ratigan

Great News from the Grainery!

Starting August 1st we will be receiving the most amazing baguettes from our friends at Chimacum Valley Grainery (previously Finnriver Grain).

This bread is made with the grains grown, harvested, and milled right here in the Chimacum Valley by Keith Kisler.

Baylin and her baking team take great care in hand forming each loaf, and baking them to perfection in their woodfire oven.

I have to say these may be the best baguettes I have ever tasted and the coolest part is they have been handled with great care all the way from seed to table. There are not many other places where you can experience this.

Check out Chimacum Valley Grainery's website for their full story as well as how you can get some of these amazing flours for yourself.

Save the Date for our next Winemaker Dinner

Scenic Valley Farms is a great family farm from the the Willamette Valley, (check out their Pinot Noir on our by-the-glass menu) that grow over a thousand acres of pears, wheat, hazelnuts, hops, grass seed and wine grapes.

Winemaker Gabriel Jagle studied at the Chemeketa Viticulture Center, where he learned to make wines that are clean and precise, then trained at Illahe Vineyards and Winery, where he learned to make wines that were soulful and expressive.

Perfect Setting for Wedding or Family Reunion

"Port Ludlow resort just hosted my daughter's wedding and everything went perfectly. The staff is extremely helpful and the setting is perfect for a wedding or family reunion. We had a large contingent of guests staying at the hotel and they all had a wonderful time and everyone commented on how good the food was. I can't imagine how it could have been better."
