HAPPENINGS IN PORT LUDLOW ~ November 2022

Greetings from Port Ludlow,

Happy November –

We are enjoying the beautiful colors, green grasses, sparkling blue waters and the sunshine! The chill is in the air but it’s been clear skies, especially here with the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains.

This time of year gets me thinking, with the busy summer just behind us and the holidays just around the corner, that we should all take advantage of a short getaway. Where to go? Somewhere close, one tank of gas, feels like we went far away and the ability to breathe.

We have some ideas:

  • A relaxing soak in our tubs while enjoying the view or the ambience of the fireplace.
  •  Our Golf Course, which by the way, is playing better than ever. Or just visit one of our three practice ranges. Do you know that the short game is about 60% of your score?
  • Dining at the Fireside. with all the winter crops starting to come on now is a great time to enjoy a delicious meal or two,
  • e-Bikes - take advantage of our lower off season rates and the continued dry weather,
  • Kayak on the protected bay and around the twin islands or any of our Marina rentals. We have great hourly rates on power boat rentals.
  • Visit one of our local businesses (visit the cider garden at Finnriver, breweries or wineries, check out the variety of quaint shops in Port Townsend or Sequim.

I look forward to seeing you soon to share in the experience of Port Ludlow in the autumn season.

Clean Bay on the Job

Excerpt from Professional BoatBuilder Magazine

Twice each week, on Wednesday and Saturday, it’s pump-out time in the marina at Port Ludlow, Washington. That’s when Clean Bay, the fully electric pumpout boat makes her rounds to empty the holding tanks of vessels belonging to marina tenants and transient guests throughout the harbor—for zero dollars, with zero decibels, and zero stink from an exhaust pipe.
