HAPPENINGS IN PORT LUDLOW ~ FEBRUARY 2022

romance.jpg

Greetings from Port Ludlow,

Hello Everyone,

Here comes February (my birth month in case you were wondering)!

I feel like we have been inundated with COVID news recently. It seems I know more people that have tested positive the last few weeks than anytime in the past two years. This got me thinking about what we are doing/continuing to do to keep our guests and staff as safe as possible.

I have to say that I am very proud of the work we have done here with a continued focus on even the smallest details to keep our spaces sanitized and safe. Knock on wood but we have managed to get through the last 2 years without having any of our guests contract COVID during their stay.

The staff and I will continue to stay focused on keeping our place safe and providing you with an experience where you can truly relax, enjoy nature with 30+ miles of trails, kayak in the tranquil protected Ludlow Bay, play a course ranked #11 by Cascade Golf and #1 by Women Golfers or just enjoy our newly refreshed rooms with fireplaces and oversized tubs.

With today being Plan for a Vacation Day, we hope this email will inspire you to book your next trip to visit us in Port Ludlow.

Cheers,

Dan Ratigan

General Manager

Congrats to our winner, PATRICIA S. for guessing correctly.

"Wonderful stay. Very relaxing. Loved the jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Perfect for a long weekend, even in dreary winter. The restaurant had great food. We had breakfast and dinner there. Also explored the walking trails around the resort and up the road. Fun and relaxing experience!"

Port Ludlow was included in PrivateCommunities' 2022 Top Communities of the Year list in the "Top of the West" category (which excluded Arizona and California).

5 Reasons Port Ludlow is One of the Best Places to Live

#1. Port Ludlow is located in the Olympic Peninsula Rain Shadow. Not sure what the Rain Shadow is? Simply put, it means that storms heading inland from the Pacific Ocean dump most of their moisture on or around the mountains, leaving a dry spot in North Puget Sound--right where Port Ludlow is located. Port Ludlow receives an average rainfall of 27 inches per year compared to 40 inches or more in other Puget Sound communities.
