HAPPENINGS IN PORT LUDLOW ~ AUGUST 2022

We have some great sunsets and sunrises in Port Ludlow with the serene waters and snowcapped mountains in the distance and now you can enjoy them yourselves from anywhere you have an internet connection. Check out our LIVE WEBCAM feed available on YouTube or our website. The photo above was captured early Tuesday morning.

Greetings from Port Ludlow,

Happy August – Dog days of summer have arrived with some heat! This is the time of year I think about gathering with family and friends in the outdoors, releasing the tensions of the day, year, Covid, and just taking time to pause. Many of our guests tell us that once they cross the Hood Canal Bridge, they feel the weight on their shoulders lighten and they can breathe better.

Our partnerships with the farmers, most of them located in the Chimacum Valley (within 20 minutes of the Inn), allows us to bring the freshest food for your dining pleasures. Our dinner menu changes to reflect the deliveries of the day from the farms and from our fishmongers bringing fresh salmon and my favorite, fresh halibut.

There is so much to experience on the Olympic Peninsula – why not make plans to stay over with the great Sunday-Thursday rates. The Inn is a perfect basecamp for hiking, kayaking, e-biking, golf, exploring the area by whale watching, visiting the farms, shopping in Port Townsend, and a host of other activities. [Check out our Things to Do Around Port Ludlow list!]

We are very excited to host SpringRain Farm for a special dinner on Friday, August 12th. Enjoy a multi-course meal featuring product sourced from the farm along with wines from our award-winning cellar. Only limited seating available so get your tickets today.

I hope you can take the time to gather, reflect and unwind over the summer months.

See you soon,

Dan Ratigan
