Learn How Downtown Businesses Are Bringing Durham Back
COVID-19 isn’t in our rear view mirrors just yet, but thanks to the perseverance and creativity of our businesses, downtown Durham is coming back. On May 2, our CEO talked with City Life host Beverly B. Thompson about how downtown is recovering from the challenges of the past two years. Watch or listen here!

Take Our May One-Minute Survey
This month's survey is a mini "Best Of" questionnaire. We'd like you to tell us the best food you've ever eaten or best drink you ever had downtown (or both) and where you got it. We'll share all the results in the next newsletter so you can make a list of new things to try. Next month: Coolest thing you ever bought downtown and where.
Please take just a moment to complete the survey, and enter to win a $50 SpendaBull card!
Congratulations to Sam B. for winning last month's survey prize drawing!

Spring Has Sprung! Clean & Safe Update: May 2022
|
|
Erik Nystrom, Clean and Safe Operations Manager
Duke and NCCU graduations, Mother’s Day, busy streets, sidewalks and restaurants, out-of-state plates and out-of-town visitors: This is how downtown Durham is supposed to be in May!
My team and I are so excited to once again be out interacting with our downtown visitors, as the last two years have made that very difficult due to the pandemic. The Ambassador Team is proud of our downtown, and we are always eager to show off everything it has to offer, answer any questions you may have, assist with directions and help with questions about parking.
As we move through spring, I want to continue sharing recent pictures of the team in action keeping your downtown clean and safe. I will be sharing some pictures with you in the coming weeks of the team out meeting and greeting folks downtown. Please feel free to stop and say hello to them next time you see them. They are always happy to hear from you and help in any way they can!
