MHBS will be closed on Monday, January 21 in order to honor the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Student Award and Scholarship Recipients
Congratulations to the following students on their excellent recent achievements! We are so proud of each of you.
Senior Jack Clark was awarded second place in the DAR Good Citizens Scholarship Contest.
Sophomore Cooper Howton was selected to represent Mars Hill at HOBY Youth Leadership Conference in May at Troy University.
Senior Madalyn Lambert has been selected to represent Mars Hill in the Shoals Scholar Dollars Student of the Year contest.

Madalyn was also named the Class 1A Area 8 Bryant Jordan Scholar Athlete Award winner.
Senior Colt Smith was selected as a finalist for the Alabama Sports Writers Association's 1A Lineman of the Year and Mr. Football 2018 Awards.

Debate Team Shines at University of Alabama Tournament
Congratulations to the MHBS Debate team! They had another successful weekend, making it to the quarterfinals of the University of Alabama Hall of Fame Speech and Debate Tournament. Great job!
Get your tickets for Seussical the Musical!
This delightful middle school musical will be held February 1st at 7pm, February 2nd at 7pm, and February 3rd at 2pm. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Seating is reserved, and tickets may only be purchased from Cathy Condra in the Business Office between 8:00 and 3:30 M-F. You don't want to miss it!
Panther Robotics Teams with Waterloo
Thanks to the Panther Robotics team and Mrs. Morgan Snodgrass for hosting a group of eager new robotics students from Waterloo High School on Tuesday.
Open House
On February 26, we are planning for a great evening showcasing our wonderful programs to 4- and 5-year-olds and parents! Last Chance: State Championship Shirts Available for Reorder
Go to  MHBS.org  for a link to the Spirit Store. Place your order there between now and January 24 at midnight. Shirts will be available for pickup in the Spirit Store in mid February. You’ll be notified when they arrive. 

NOTE: Two additional shirt options have been added since December. There’s both a blue and gray short sleeved cotton shirt with the same front and back design as all the others.
