Veterans/Grandparents Day Program
The annual Veterans/Grandparents Day program will be held in the gym at 9 a.m. on Monday (November 12). School will be dismissed immediately following the program. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Panther Cross Country Headed To State Meet
Congratulations to Panther Cross Country! Boys and Girls teams are both headed to the State meet on Saturday in Moulton. Sydney McKinnon, Emma Reaves, Brock Windham, Matthew Moran, and Bo Gooch were all top qualifiers in the Sectional meet last Friday. Go Panthers!!
Senior Receives Academic All-American Designation
Congratulations to senior Sadie Segars! She received the National Speech and Debate Association’s Academic All-American designation in recognition of her outstanding achievement in academics and forensics.
Debate Team Takes Second Place Honors
Way to go, Mars Hill Debate Team! They had an impressive showing at the Morristown West Chestnut Tree Invitational, with team John Medley and Liliana Derr coming in second place.

Playoffs: Game Day Guide
TONIGHT is our first ever home football playoff game! 

  • Please note the following change: there will be NO reserved parking for the playoff games.
  • Advanced tickets will be available in the high school office today from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tickets are $8 for everyone (students and adults). Please have check or correct change for advanced ticket purchase.
  • Please note: the only passes accepted are AHSAA-issued coaching passes. Mars Hill family passes are not accepted for playoff games (per AHSAA rules)
  • Panthers will play Marion County.
  • Wear WHITE. It’s going to be a chilly night... plan accordingly! White beanies (hats), white sweatshirts... Be creative!  
  • Jr. High Cheerleaders will be painting faces and spraying hair for $1 each.
  • White shakers will be passed out for the game (at conclusion of game, please return in containers at the end of bleachers so they can be reused).
  • Come loud and proud... it’s the playoffs!!
Game Broadcast
The first ever football playoff game on the MH campus will be broadcast on 97.1 FM and WBCF.com. Pregame will begin at 6:30 p.m. before kickoff at 7:00. Mike Mitchell, Matt Burgess, and Ronnie Pannell will call the game.
MHBS Students Perform in Elf the Musical, Jr.
Several MH students will be performing in the production of Elf the Musical, Jr. November 9-11 and November 15-17 at the Shoals Theatre. Drew McKinnon, Preston Lumpkins, Sam Lumpkins, and Linley Jackson will all be in the show. For more information, visit the Shoals Theatre website here .
State Cup Soccer Teams

Congratulations to Noah Barrier, Ryan Foster, Reece Gandy, and Brady Wallace for winning state cup in the 16U Division 2 soccer. Their team (Shoals Soccer Club) went undefeated this season.

Also congratulations to Cooper Howton for his team (also Shoals Soccer Club) winning the 17U Division 2 state cup. 

Middle/High School Book Fair
The Crane Book Fair for middle and high school will be held through Nov. 12 in the 5th-12th Media Center. The fair will be open for shopping following the Veteran's Day program on Nov. 12.
