What a night! Our very own Superintendent Miller not only threw out the first pitch for the Eugene Emeralds last week, but he also took a moment to calm the nerves of some little tikes who were selected to join him on the mound. A true leader both on and off the field! His family cheered him on from the stands — even giving a few playful critiques on his pitching form. Great job, Dad!
South Lane had even more surprise “celebrities” called to take the field and spotlight throughout the evening. Executive Assistant Tonya Kerns tried her luck at the $50K Dice Roll, while Kea Hitt’s name was drawn for a Dutch Bros prize. Principal Drew and her daughter gave it their all to try and make it on the Dance Cam, keeping the South Lane cheering section thoroughly entertained with their moves ~ we give them a ‘10'.
From start to finish, it was a night full of laughter, school spirit, and community. A HUGE thank you to NW Credit Union for sponsoring this special evening. What a great way to celebrate as we gear up for the start of the 2025–26 school year next week!
