The staff of South Lane School District returned to their buildings full of energy and excitement as they prepare to welcome students back for a new school year. Hallways are being decorated, classrooms are being set up, and lessons are being planned. We do all this with one goal in mind: creating the best possible experience for every student. 

At South Lane, our mission is clear: to empower learning, ensure belonging, and prepare every student for their future. As our teams come together, they are focused on making this mission a reality in every classroom, every day.

South Lane, and Cottage Grove as a community, is a special place. Our staff don’t just work here; they deeply care about the students, families, and neighbors they serve. During our staff kickoff, employees shared why they love being part of South Lane, and their responses highlighted what makes this district unique: a culture of caring, our sense of community, and a genuine belief in our students’ potential.

We are eager for the first day of school and can’t wait to see our students walk through the doors again. This year, just like every year, we are ready to learn, grow, and dream big together.
