Cottage Grove High School is celebrating a major achievement after its yearbook, Lion Tracks, was honored with the prestigious Pacemaker Award at the 2024 National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) Spring Convention in Seattle.

Often referred to as the Pulitzer Prize of student journalism, the Pacemaker Award recognizes the nation’s top scholastic yearbooks. Out of hundreds of entries, only 22 yearbooks were selected, representing approximately 20% of submissions. Lion Tracks stood out among them—and proudly held the distinction of being the only school from Oregon to earn the award.

This honor reflects the incredible dedication, creativity, and storytelling talent of the Lion Tracks staff, who poured countless hours into producing a book that captures the heart of Cottage Grove High School.
