A Message from the Executive Director

Hello,

Happy almost summer! As we head into the end of this school year, I’m especially grateful this year as we start to emerge from pandemic restrictions and return to a “new normal.”

In this edition of our newsletter, you’ll learn more about what Pivot’s “new normal” looks like, now that students are able to return to in-person education. While our teachers and staff are incredibly excited to reconnect in-person with students and families, we remain focused on health and safety as our top priorities and have put appropriate measures in place. We also recognize that returning to in-person learning is an adjustment for the entire Pivot family, and we have resources available to help aid in that transition.

We learned a great deal about our students’ needs and interests these past 15 months through the pandemic as well as our strengths and areas where we can grow. We appreciate your responses to the surveys we have disseminated this year so that we can continue to provide a program that supports all of our students to meet their academic goals. Please look for emails from us in the next few months to learn about the exciting changes we are making to the schedules at our resource centers next year.

As we wrap up the 2020-2021 school year, I want to share my Congratulations with the Class of 2021. Over the past two years, this class of students has overcome so many challenges, and I am so proud of their resilience and dedication. I’m excited to share that Pivot will be hosting safe, in-person graduation events this year – where we can celebrate all the amazing Class of 2021 grads!

Thank you to the entire Pivot family for your flexibility and support throughout the 2020-2021 school year. Our community didn’t only survive – we thrived – and now that we are putting the pandemic behind us, I see even greater things ahead in Pivot’s future!

Sincerely,
