Yep, 8 billion. I was so happy to see my friend Les Knight featured in the New York Times recently. He started The Volunteer Human Extinction Movement: vhemt.org - if you ever seek an answer to anything population-growth related, the website has a great FAQ section that has great answers to typical sentiments like "what if the good people stop having kids?" and 50 more that I hear all the time. Even if we moved just a little bit in the direction he's suggesting we'd push back against climate change way more than we are now. I guess this is just a line of thought I'll be pushing till I'm recomposed!
My Dad, Rich Kaufman, is now in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) in NE Philly. It seems like my family is pleased with this place. He's moved around a little and I'm glad they are happy with where he is now for the moment.
Related to my family, our cabin, Camp Smiley, which has been in my family for 70 years and is a piece of paradise is on the market. It's in Sumneytown, PA. Here's the listing. It would be great if this were to go to a friend of the family.
Personally, I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis for the past 6 months and I'm finally starting to take getting over it seriously. If you've never had this before consider yourself lucky. It makes it hard to walk and has been keeping me from doing things.
Besides chiropractic, acupuncture, and stretching I went for a massage yesterday with Peter Black. You may recall that I am a big fan of massage. If you're looking for a good one, visit Peter - wow, so good!
