Happy Fourth of July!
Celebrate Independence Day in Vinton at the Vinton War Memorial! Join us from 7 - 10 PM on July 4th on the War Memorial front lawn for music from DJ Flex, food vendors, and more fun for the whole family. Fireworks begin at 9:30 PM so we'll see you there for the best firework show in town!
*Please no pets or pop-up tents

American National Bank's Four on the 4th race for the Boys & Girls Club of SWVA begins at 8 AM at the Vinton War Memorial. See the race route Here.
Town of Vinton Refuse & Bulk Collection Schedule
Due to Town of Vinton offices being closed on July 3 and July 4 for the holiday there will be temporary changes to refuse and bulk collection:

  • Monday and Tuesday refuse and bulk will be picked up on Wednesday, July 5
  • Wednesday and Thursday refuse and bulk will be picked up on Thursday, July 6
  • There are no changes to the Friday schedule and regular pickup will resume on Friday, July 7
Infrastructure Improvements
  • E. Cleveland Avenue has been fully paved following the completion of the water line replacement project
  • Walnut Avenue Phase 2 improvements continue
  • Glade Creek Greenway Phase 2b improvements continue

Additional Community News
Thank you to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation for the grant award to help develop Vinton's new multi-generational park! The 5-acre park will be at the site of the former Vinton pool near the Vinton War Memorial and will have a playground, athletic courts, and a shelter developed in phases. Read More Here

6 PM on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month - located in the Council Chambers of the Vinton Municipal Building.
