Maine Adopts U.S. CDC's New COVID-19 Guidance
Following a review by the Maine Department of Health & Human Services and the Maine CDC, Governor Mills announced that the State of Maine will adopt the U.S. CDC’s new guidance which allows fully vaccinated Americans not to wear face coverings outdoors or indoors.

As of May 24, 2021:
·   All capacity limits & requirements to physically distance in public outdoor settings have been lifted.
·   All capacity limits & requirements to physically distance in public indoor venues have been lifted.
·   Masks are not required indoors but it is recommended that those who are not fully vaccinated wear masks.
·   The U.S. CDC requires that masks be worn on planes, buses, trains and other forms of public transportation (which includes our Ogunquit Trolley system).
The Ogunquit Trolley WILL be running this season!
Trolley services started yesterday and will run through Labor Day, seven days/week, from 9am-9pm.
They will also be providing limited services from Labor Day through

As Frannie Peabody Center's largest annual fundraiser, the Southern Maine AIDS Walk/5K Run unites the community in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Since 2009, the event has not only raised critical funding and awareness, but also brought people together in support of one another.

Every year, more than 300 participants make their way to beautiful Ogunquit Beach for the culmination of their fundraising efforts. With more than 40 community sponsors and more than 1,000 donors, the event raises over $100,000 in support of people in Maine living with and/or at risk for HIV/AIDS.

Many people choose to walk in memory of a loved one they have lost to AIDS, in honor of a friend still fighting, or as a way to educate their children about an important issue that affects our community. Whatever your motivation, we hope you will join us in August for a fantastic event fueled by love and support.

We remain grateful to all our supporters, and look forward to a time soon when we can be together again. Until then, we'll be sharing the event's photos and videos on social media, and hope you can join us by sharing your virtual walk/run using #southernMaineAIDSwalk and tagging us on your posts.

If you can't join us on August 14, you can still participate by walking/running virtually anytime between August 14 at 9am and August 15 at 7pm. Simply share your photos and videos on social media using #southernMaineAIDSwalk and tagging us so we know you participated! And if you send us a screenshot of your virtual 5K walk/run on a walking/running app, by 3pm on August 16, you'll be in the running for all kinds of cool prizes.
