Christmas Lights

First Sunday of Advent Prayer

God of hope, who brought love into this world,

be the love that dwells between us.

God of hope, who brought peace into this world,

be the peace that dwells between us.

God of hope, who brought joy into this world,

be the joy that dwells between us.

God of hope, the rock we stand upon,

be the center, the focus of our lives

always, and particularly this Advent season. Amen

2025 Annual Stewardship Pledge

Support our 2025 Stewardship Campaign

It’s that time of year again - the time to reflect on the blessing of our community and how we can support its continued vitality. We’re excited to launch our 2025 Church Stewardship Campaign, with a goal of raising $300,000 to support our parish and its mission.

Given the size of our parish, this translates to an average of $5,000 per donor. We recognize that some can give more and others may give less, and that’s okay. Every gift, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated and makes a meaningful impact.

This year, we’ve made it even easier to pledge:

  • Use the pledge cards available in the Narthex or that you receive in the mail. You can mail them in or drop off at the church.

to let us know your pledge.

Let’s come together as a community to achieve this important goal.

With Gratitude for your Generosity and Support

For Sequoias residents rides are now provided to Christ Church at 9:30 AM on Sundays with a return pickup time at 11:30. Contact the Sequoias Transportation Department at X4117 or sign up in the transportation binder. Sunday morning rides are also available to the Presbyterian or the Catholic churches.

Christmas Day Brunch

Members of Christ Church Portola Valley / Woodside are warmly welcome to join the community of Christ Church Los Altos, the Rev. Claire Dietrich Ranna, and her family at their home on Christmas morning for a festive service of Christmas Carols and Eucharist and some warm holiday fellowship.
This service will be in person only at the Christ Church Rectory: 1042 Border Road, Los Altos, CA 94024. If you intend to come, please RSVP to Rev. Claire (claire@ccla.us) so we have an idea of how many people to plan for, and bring a dish to share for Christmas brunch. We hope you can make it!
