HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY FR. KEVIN!!! Thank you for your leadership, pastoral guidance and ministry at OLG. And wow what a first year it has been.

As we attempt to wrap-up the Annual Catholic Appeal in our parish, we are excited to share that thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our OLG community we have raised $98,331 , exceeding our parish goal of $82,212. Donations received in excess of that goal will come back to the parish and we will put those funds towards expanding our outreach ministry to high school and young adults. Fr. Kevin asked that every household participate this year. If you haven't yet made a pledge, or given directly, there is still time. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PUBLIC MASS USHERS and HOSPITALITY. In order to ensure we provide a safe environment for parishioners attending public mass, we are in need of additional Ushers and Hospitality volunteers. Training is provided. If interested please reach out to Michelle Scheving [email protected] PAINTERS . Like to paint or are willing to help paint? There is so much to do to prepare the school for the return safe return of students in the fall. One of those is freshening up parts of the school with a new coat of paint. CELEBRATING THE ELECTS’ BAPTISM, CONFIRMATION AND FIRST COMMUNION ON SUNDAY AUGUST 2ND We are so excited to announce that we finally able to welcome Matt Mihlon, Roberto Whyte, and Griffin and Vaughn Matzen into the Catholic Church after many months of delay due to COVID-19. Join us for our livestreaming mass on Sunday, August 2 nd at 10:00 am. You can also get reacquainted with them by going to our website . Please continue to keep them in your prayers. IT'S TIME TO "LOOP THE 'LUPE" To keep everyone safe, our summertime event at the park is GOING VIRTUAL this year. All participants, from those doing the obstacle course to the Senior Saunter (that's me!), are encouraged to sign up at Loop the Lupe dot com. As a special bonus, you'll get a race t-shirt AND a face mask this year when you register. We're encouraging people to post videos of photos of their "virtual race" to get in the running for some great prizes. GIRLS TO GIRLS SERVICE FAIR CALL TO ACTION FROM A FORMER OLG STUDENT Sofia Pedras reached out to us and asked for help in spreading the word about what her Girls To Girls Club is doing. "Our club fundraises to provide high school scholarships for Kenyan youth, particularly girls. In Kenya, the government barely subsidizes high school education. Many families in rural Kenya make less than two dollars a day, which means that many Kenyan students aren’t able to get a secondary education. We know that when girls are able to receive the education they deserve, they are able to take control of their lives and in turn strengthen the economy, healthcare, and gender equality within their country. This time of required isolation and social distancing has hindered our ability to fundraise, but we still want to have an impact. In response, our club is currently holding a service fair! Our service fair is an opportunity for you to receive a needed service while also having a positive and lasting impact on the world. Our members will do yard work, virtually babysit or tutor, wash cars, or any other odd job you are in need of. A labyrinth is a mild walking exercise that can allow us to experience our soul’s rhythm with God and discover our own soul’s purpose. More information about walking a labyrinth can be found at the kiosk. WE NEED YOUR PHOTOS TO FILL OUR CHURCH!! If you have not yet sent in your family/household photo, please do.
