Dear Friends,

After a busy summer, Autumn is a good time for us to take stock of how we are doing and feeling. Making time for ourselves (a walk, sitting in nature, cloud gazing, meditation) allows us to quiet the mind. Only then can we connect with our soul -- our trusty guide and truth teller of what's working in our lives and what's not.

Take notice of any needs that bubble to the surface. What small adjustments can you make to help address those needs? What kindness can you show yourself?

Here are three ideas for celebrating the beautiful Autumn season while also doing something good for yourself.

Peace & Blessings,

Maribeth

Grounding with Root Veggies

According to Ayurvedic beliefs, eating root vegetables can help ground you. As these hearty veggies grow deep in the soil, they absorb the Earth's nutrients and grounding properties. Enjoy these delicious Autumn gems for nutrition, as well as for the grounding benefits that can help you feel calmer and more in balance.

Blessing of the Animals

Each October, churches across denominations offer pet blessings. Held outdoors at a church or park, pets receive a blessing for good health, as well as treats and lots of attention. Is your pet an introvert? No worries. Bring a photo. It's fun to see the animals mingling. Check online for an event near you.

Curling up with a Good Book

The High Vibe Book Club will meet in November. So, there's plenty of time to read our Autumn title, Signs: The Secret Language of the Universe by Laura Lynne Jackson. This book of real-life stories demonstrates how the bonds of love do not end after we lose a loved one. Our loved ones continue to support us from the other side, if only we are open to their signs. During our discussion, I'll share tips on how to ask for and recognize signs from your own loved ones. This free event will take place Tuesday, November 15th at 7PM (EST). Register to receive the Zoom link.
