Happy Birthday Easton Farmers' Market!
Join us in Celebrating a Proud Legacy of Local Food
To Easton's founding fathers who laid the groundwork for a market in the great square more than two centuries ago, we thank you. To all the tireless farmers, bakers, and merchants who labored so we could enjoy fresh food and the finest products, we thank you. To all those who have faithfully shopped the market year in year, and year out, we thank you. And to the children, and those who have just discovered us (yet love us already) we thank you and trust that you'll carry on the market's proud legacy for centuries to come.

Happy Birthday to America's oldest Continuous open-air market!
Easton Farmers’ Market is throwing a birthday party so big that we need four cakes just to feed y'all!

We won’t try to squeeze 267 candles onto the cakes, but we will serve up free slices to all our market guests (while supplies last). The scrumptious cakes will provided by Tomblers Bakery and The Modern Crumb. Join Mayor Sal Panto Jr., Representative Bob Freeman and Easton’s Town Crier, David Rose, in singing Happy Birthday at 10 a.m., before the cake is served. And while you’re there, check out a collection of historic photos of the market, provided by the Sigal Museum.

Earl the Accordionist will be strolling through the market from 9-10 a.m. and the Twin River Rounders will perform from 10 a.m. to noon in the Music Tent. Families with little ones can visit with Balloons the Clown (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and track down the market’s mascot, Sunny, who will be handing out special EFM birthday stickers. Kids can also stop by the Power of Produce (POP Club) tent to design a page of the market’s birthday book.

As we acknowledge our past, we're also honoring our future on Saturday as the Easton Compost Program rings in its first birthday. Visitors can stop by the Compost Tent to learn about the program and enroll. Participants within city limits can get a 5-gallon bucket for free; those outside the city can purchase one for $20.

Easton's celebration of history continues Sunday at Easton Heritage Day... See more Here!

Teels Hill Soapworks
A Natural Cure for Poison Ivy
Oh boy... it's time to talk poison ivy. And that means Susan is out scouting the countryside for Jewelweed! If you are one of the many who are prone to getting a rash from poison ivy, you may want to check out Teels Hills' Poison Ivy Soap. The magic ingredient in this soap is Jewelweed - a plant used by Native Americans for rashes and itching. Susan harvests the whole plant except the roots and infuses it in olive oil and the water. It may actually keep you from getting the poison ivy rash but if you do have it already it will definitely help with the itching. Susan also adds white clay and ground oats along with an essential blend that is antibacterial and helps with the itching. YTeel's Hill also offers Poison Ivy Oil. This features Calendula infused olive oil, carrot seed and vitamin E with the same essential blend. It also works great for bug bites!
Holy Cow Farm
This week Holy Cow has a few new summer blooms including Cottage Yarrow, Pincushion flower, and an abundance of these Chocolate Lace flowers. Also known as Daucus carota, this is the wild form of carrot. These blooms are airy, long lasting, and add a whimsical touch to a fresh cut bouquet.

Valley Milkhouse
This week, Motherwort is back! This beer-curd cheese is a collaboration with Funk Brewing. Stefanie learned this recipe during an apprenticeship in Belgium where she learned to make a Gouda style with Trappist ales. Motherwort is her take on this quirky Flemish tradition: curds that have been soaked in ale before pressing to give the finished cheese a funky twist. And what better beer to work with than Funk’s Velvet Belgian style triple? A match made in heaven!

VMH will also have Thistle, Honey Bell, Blue Bell (which is at its peak flavor!), and Clover Fromage Blanc in its new compostable containers.

The salsa party continues at the Farmstand Recipes Tent! This week is your last opportunity to get in on the goodness that is Chef Ada's Mango Tango don't wanna miss out! Fear not though, Spicy Gallo and Roasted Salsa Verde will continue to hold down the fort.

Fieldstone Coffee Roasters & Tea Leaf
Celebrate with c. 1752 Coffee!
Did you know that c. 1752 Historic Coffee Blend was named after the Easton Farmer’s Market? Yep it is. This one of a kind blend is also one of the very first blends that Fieldstone created many years ago when they first joined our market. If you are around a local you might hear the locals calling it “Historic” or “17”~ What better way to celebrate the longest running market in our country then a cup of hot “1752” and a piece of EFM Birthday cake by the fountain. Fieldstone will have plenty of fresh roasted “1752” coffee bags for you to take home!

On tap: Coconut Nitro, Zen Nitro Tea, Cold brew coconut and house for growler fills. Mango Bubble Tea with Rainbow Boba, and Organic Black Tea.
