Bringing the multicultural, creative spirit of Ezra Jack Keats
into children's lives and literature
March 2016

Dear Friends,

Ezra’s 100th birthday occurs this month—on March 11—and we’re over the moon about the activities in the pipeline, events that will be taking place throughout the year at major museums, children’s museums, libraries and bookstores.

On the actual date, we’re hosting a Birthday Read-a-thon at Books of Wonder, one of the best children’s bookstores in New York City, with an honor roll of amazing writers and illustrators reading books by Keats to a roomful of second-grade.

This is also the last month we can accept Keats-themed Mini-Grant proposals. Please keep them coming before March 31!!
