Happy Tails Newsletter
February 2022
Happy Birthday, HBPets! We're celebrating 47 years of serving the abused, neglected, and homeless animals of Yamhill County as Oregon's first no-kill shelter on February 27th.

It has been an honor to care for the helpless animals who arrive at our door day after day. The support and love that we receive from our generous community is one of the many reasons we are here today.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Here's to the next 47 years and generations to come!
Franky-Approved Heaters

This cute-pie cat is always next to our new, toasty heaters! Along with our other cats (+ staff and volunteers), he is able to stay warm now, since many of our old heaters had recently quit working.

A BIG thank you to our generous friends in the community who purchased these for us; they help more than you know.
How is your new furry family member?

We love to hear how HBPets-adopted animals are doing with their new families. Submit your story below and you may be featured in a social media post, upcoming newsletter, or print story!

Click here to tell us how your furry friend adds love to your life. Don't be shy, tell us all about them...and don't forget to submit your favorite photo of them, too!
Do you like animals more than people?

We're just kidding! HBPets is looking for a volunteer for 2-3 hours per week on an ongoing basis to bag cans and bottles at our Thrift Shop for our recycling program with Bottle Drop. You can choose the day and time that works best for you, Monday - Saturday 10:00AM - 5:00PM.

It’s a dirty job, but somebody has to do it....think of the sweet animals you'd be helping. Please contact 503-472-0341 ext. 3 if you are interested.

They are waiting for you!

Do you have room in your heart and home for a furry companion? Check out some of the beautiful animals who are patiently waiting for their forever families at our shelter.

All of our dogs and cats have been spayed/neutered, are up-to-date on vaccines, have been treated for fleas, and dewormed. All cats and kittens have been treated for ear mites and tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS.

Adoption fees are non-refundable. We encourage prospective adopters to spend time with dog or cat they are interested in adopting. Our shelter staff will also help match your needs and circumstances with appropriate dog or cat.
