Community Development Network Day in Annapolis
St. Ambrose is a member of Community Development Network (CDN). CDN unites community organizations accross Maryland on our shared goal of making our communities great places to live and grow. The network gathered in Annapolis to meet with legislators and discuss some of the pending legislation this session that could improve and strengthen our communities.

Breaking Ground in Baltimore County!
This month our Rental Services department is closing on the financing for two historic preservation projects in Baltimore County.
The first project is at Aigburth-Vale mansion in Towson where renovations will preserve and beautify common areas as well as update and improve accessibility of residents' rooms. Construction will start this month and is expected to wrap up around the end of the year.

We will also close on the financing with Baltimore County for the renovation and preservation of 10 rental homes in Winters Lane. This will enable us to move forward with construction drawings and plans to break ground in Winters Lane late this summer.  This year marks the 150th anniversary of this historically African American community's founding. To read more on the neighborhood's inspiring history see our blog post from last year, or check out WBAL's story on the neighborhood with historian Louis Diggs earlier this month.
The mission of St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center is to create, preserve and maintain equal housing opportunities for low and moderate income people, primarily in Baltimore City, and to encourage and support strong and diverse neighborhoods.
